Caradoc is born to Gertrude and Bruce Dearborn.
Gertrude is muggle born, Bruce is a squib to a half-blood mother and muggle father.
Bruce assumes Caradoc is a squib as well.

June 2, 1963
Caradoc starts to exhibit some unusual behaviours. This includes being able to slide his toys across the living room floor without touching them. Also, he accidentally sets his mother’s dress on fire without touching her. Or being near a stove. Or a match, for that matter.

She wasn’t hurt. A bit shocked, though.

She chalked it up to nerves.

December 25, 1965
Caradoc receives a ‘magician’s magic set’ for Christmas. He spends a month practicing slide -of-hand and card tricks.

January 21, 1966
Caradoc, in the company of his parents and several of mother’s bridge club, performs his magic show.

He actually makes a rabbit disappear.

As well as his obnoxious cousin Obbie. Who smelled like piss. All the time.

January 22, 1966
Obbie is still missing.

January 24, 1966
Obbie is found curled up in the dryer. He’s in a bit a shock and doesn’t know how he ended up there.

Later that day, he claims Caradoc stuffed him in. Which just wasn’t true!

January 25, 1966
Caradoc visits his first psychiatrist.

March 21, 1967
Caradoc has a new best friend. His name is Albert, and he’s invisible. He calls him Alfie. And he’s an elephant.

His parents decide to send him to public primary school.

September 10, 1968
Caradoc is found stuffed into a gym locker for the 15th consecutive time. He tells his mum his ‘friends’ were just playing a ‘game.’ He doesn’t speak about the bullying. Or the lack of lunch money.

October 31, 1970
Caradoc dresses as a pirate for Halloween, and can be seen around the neighborhood with someone dressed as a pink elephant. When asked, Caradoc explains his name is Al, and its not a costume.

This, as well as other strange happenings and activities concern his parents enough to send him to his seventh therapist.

November 1, 1970
Doctor Schwartzman concludes Caradoc may be legally insane. Recommends institutionalizing him.

Gertrude refuses. But she’s concerned. Very concerned.

May 19, 1971
Perpetual loner and friendless Caradoc receives his very first piece of real post mail that wasn’t a post card reminder for the dentist. Its from someone named Dumbledore. And its from a club called Hogwarts.

On further review, the Dearborns’ come to realize Hogwarts is a school, Dumbledore is the Headmaster, and Caradoc is a wizard, not insane.

Not really.

August 27, 1971
Bruce takes Caradoc to a shopping towne named Diagon Alley for school purchasing. Gertrude is home with a headache, ill from overactive nerves. Her physician recommends a Drought to soothe her ills. Its actually a scam elixir made of 85% alcohol.

Gertrude is really nursing a hangover.

Eleven year old Caradoc meets thirteen year old Bridget Jones at the bookshop. She knocked over a very large and impossibly stacked assortment of books on teacup divination, and the fact she exclaimed ‘OH BUGGER’ rather loudly peeked his interest.

Also, the books fell on him.

September 2, 1971
Caradoc is left alone on platform 9 3/4 because Bruce got lost trying to find the loo. By the time Bruce came back, the train had departed.

Bridget Jones, in her haste, literally runs into Caradoc and his trunk (but mostly his trunk) in the corridor. He recognizes her in her perpetual clumsiness and helps her up. He then impresses her with a slide-of-hand trick to pull a rose from behind her ear.

They share a compartment for the remainder of the train ride with soon-to-be housemate, second year Allan Lovegood. His whisicalness and far fetched stories about imaginary creatures around the world impress Caradoc.

Especially when Allan becomes jealous of Alfie, the pink elephant.

September 2, 1971
Caradoc is sorted into Ravenclaw, along with Rita Skeeter. He joins Ted Tonks, Andromeda Black, and Kingsley Shacklebolt (among others) at the house table.

September 5, 1971
Caradoc is found stuffed in a locker in the Quidditch lockerooms.

Seems some things just never change.

September 10, 1971
Caradoc falls out of a tree while ‘bird watching.’ His arm is broken, and makes his first trip to the infirmary.

Meets fellow broken bone victim, Gideon Prewett. Caradoc signs his leg cast with a picture of an elephant.

December 21, 1971
Caradoc returns home to an empty house. Seems his parents went on holiday and forgot about his homecoming.

He actually liked this arrangement, and spent the time eating dry cereal, drinking straight from the milk carton, and teaching himself to spin mother’s good china plates and juggling potatoes.

She never did find out why her set was missing one bread and one salad plate.

Caradoc begins second year.

September 4, 1972
Caradoc uses Alohomora to set himself free from the locker in the Quidditch lockeroom he had been stuffed in. But only after he finishes his danish from breakfast.

September 15, 1972
Is partnered with Gryffindor James Potter for Madam Hooche’s Quidditch class. Needless to say, James hogged the broom and snitch.

Caradoc didn’t mind, though. He learned quickly that bludgers were horrible balls to juggle with.

He ends up making his 6th visit to Madam Pomfrey.

October 31, 1972
Caradoc dresses up as the 16th American president, Abraham Lincoln.

Everyone thinks he’s a priest.

He tosses the costume but keeps the top hat.

December 25, 1972
Caradoc ops to stay at Hogwarts with Bridget, whose parents have run off on holiday to the British Isles.

He starts to realize he may have a crush on her, but it could also had been the expired Bertie Botts he ate.
July 12, 1973
Caradoc joins Allan Lovegood on a trip to Ireland in search of a herd of elephants.

August 25, 1973
They return finding dragons, not elephants.

They also receive an award for the memoirs of the trip, and they split it 50/50. Caradoc buys a Charlie Chaplain-esque cane from the Costume Shoppe. He’s never seen without it after that.

September 2, 1973
Caradoc arrives to Hogwarts with a new look, wardrobe, and outlook on life. He’s stopped letting mum cut his hair, and watched all of Chaplain’s movies obsessively over break.

He believes this year will finally be his year to triumph over adversary and his bullish peers!

Caradoc uses Lumos to continue to enjoy reading his Flash Gordon comic book after being stuffed in the locker in the Quidditch locker room.

February 14, 1973
Takes Bridget to Hogsmeade on Valentine’s Day.

He’s a tad jealous at how infatuated she is over Slytherin bastard Varian D. Avery.

February 18, 1973
Grows irate and practically horrified when he finds out Bridget and vile Daniel shagged.

He deals with it by secluding himself outside, in his tree, or with the small herd of Unicorns Hagrid keeps on school property. Hagrid offers Caradoc a small job to help feed and clean up the shite the animals left. Caradoc takes it willingly.

Caradoc believed the Unicorns could talk to him.

Allan Lovegood was the only one who believed him, and said they’ve been talking to him for years!

June 21, 1974
Caradoc tries to get a summer job in a local video rental store. He’s rejected when its revealed he can’t write.

Gertrude has her third nervous break down and Bruce decides to move her and himself to the South coast. Better for her health.

Caradoc is left with a neighbour, whose 15 year old sister (Joon) wears a bicycle helmet and paints Abstract paintings. At first they don’t speak, and eventually the relationship moves beyond Caradoc staring at her to talking.

July 3, 1974
Joon teaches Caradoc how to write ‘gooder.’ Caradoc reapplies to the movie shoppe, and is given the job. He writes his first real letter to Bridget in purple crayon, and tells her she doesn’t have to write his essays for him anymore.

July 20, 1974
Joon is in a mild automobile accident when she steals her brother’s car. She is rushed to hospital and Caradoc immediately follows.

July 21, 1974
Caradoc spent all night in her hospital room, sleeping on a wooden standard issued chair. He also eats her pudding when the nurses aren’t around.

July 24, 1974
Joon’s awake and is happy to see Benny, her brother. But she’s even happier to see Caradoc, or ‘Sam,’ as she calles him.

July 25, 1974
Benny brings Joon home, and life returns, for the better part, to normal.

July 26, 1974
Benny goes to work, leaving Caradoc home alone with Joon.

Somehow, they end up watching some tele together and either she kisses him or he kisses her.

July 27, 1974
Shortly after midnight, Caradoc wakes up to laying ont he couch with Joon next to him and his arm around her seemingly naked body. He comes to the conclusion on what had happened and holds her close.

When he hears Benny’s car park outside, he quickly rushes Joon (dressed) up to her room, while he remained on the couch (as usual.) He tells Benny, when asked, that the evening went well and quiet.

Caradoc watches the street lights dance on the ceiling for many hours until he falls alseep.

August 22, 1974
Joon disrupts traffic on West Franklin Street with a stolen stop sign. She is arrested and then admitted to the local institution.

August 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 1974
Caradoc waits in t he lobby of the building hoping for a chance to see his beloved Joon. The nurses deny him each and everytime, forbidding him from passing beyond their counter. Instead, he waits next to the water fountain.

Joon never comes down to see him.

Caradoc leaves for London in preperation for the school term. He almost didn’t go.

September 2, 1974
A somber and emotionally-disconnected Caradoc rides the Hogwarts Express.

An equally somber and denial-stricken Bridget joins him in the Compartment of Depression, as she reflects on her whirlwind summer romance with vile Daniel Avery.

Fourth year Caradoc makes no resistance to being stuffed in his usual locker.

December 25, 1974
Spends Christmas at Hogwarts. Starts spending all of his time in the library in an attempt to find a cure of solution to Joon’s perpetual insanity.

And hopefully his salvation.

Caradoc meets fellow Library fanatic Lily Evans.

She actually makes him laugh. Well, first he sneezed, then he smiled, then he laughed.

He gives up his research for Joon, submitting to the fact that he just didn’t know.

Caradoc ponders what life would be like as a carrot after being stuffed into a locker by Slytherins Barty Crouch, Jr. and Regulus A. Black.

Caradoc spends train ride to Hogwarts in the loo, reading the Guiness Book of Records and decides to break the world record for most plates spun on a stick at once time.

September 4, 1975
Right on schedule, Caradoc meets his bullies and lets them shove him into his locker, in the Quidditch locker room.

He’s content, because its another normal start to a normal year.

June 1, 1976
Caradoc receives a Hogwarts letter detailing his Prefect position. He wears his pin proudly.

Caradoc waits in the locker rooms, but the boys never show up.

As he walks back to the castle, Caradoc can’t help but shake a funny feeling that this year will be different.

Caradoc asks Lily Evans to be his girlfriend. She says Yes!

Caradoc learns James thinks Lily is dating Severus Snape!

Caradoc somehow helps the Marauders with a prank.

Caradoc receives word from Bridget that she received an annonymousnote about Amos Diggory cheating on her. She asks Caradoc if he wrote it. He warns her to not wear her heart on her sleeve.

James Potter is stricken with the suspicion Lily Evans could be dating/fancying Snape. He asks Caradoc to Hogsmeade ‘with the boys.’

June 4, 1976
James Potter learns through Marlene McKinnon that Caradoc has asked Lily out. Caradoc has, somehow, managed to beat him to the punch.

June 6, 1976
James Potter confrontst Lily about dating Caradoc.

Caradoc believes he makes himself an enemy to James Potterwhen he learns James knows about him and Lily dating.

Caradoc talks to Bridget about James Potter's hatrid of him, her relationship with Amos, and she thinks James's name is Harry.

June 7, 1976
Caradoc confronts (and warns) Amos Diggory against lieing, cheating, and hurting Bridget.

June 9, 1976
After a devastating break-up with Amos Diggory, Bridget tries to leave Hogwarts early. Caradoc, fortunately, stops her in time.

The same day, elsewhere, after exams, a Slytherin student is hung upside down in mid-air by his ankle. This becomes a traumatic memory for him, and a laugh riot to everyone else.

August 23, 1976
Caradoc gets a letter from Lily. She tells him she loves him.

September 5, 1976
Caradoc and Bridget discuss worries over Marlene McKinnon.

September 14, 1976
Caradoc is cast as Benvolio in the Winter’s production of Romeo and Juliet. The play is later cancelled upon Professor Goldwick’s murder death.

September 19, 1976
A great moment with Lily Evans is ruined by the mocking Regulus Black and his companion Walden Macnair.

September 25, 1976
An anti-muggle boycot statement is published in the Daily Prophet. It’s signed with the elusize Dark Mark.

September 27, 1976
A poster ordering a boycott of Professor McGonagall’s classes appears around school.

Its marked with the Dark Mark.

September 28, 1976
A postering ordering a boycott of Professor Slughorn’s classes appears around school.

It, too, is marked with the Dark Mark.

Caradoc publically announces a warning to the person/parties behind the Boycott posters despite overwhelming concerns for his safety and angering those ‘powers at be.’ He affirms that this is nothing more than a difference of politics, and students should understand that school rules are still rules, not ment to be broken.

He’s extremly concerned over Lily Evan’s safety, as he fears she will be attacked. He tells her not to walk down dark corridors herself, and not to draw attention to herself in any unnessesary way. He wants her to inform him immediatly if she is approached by anyone, or notes suspicious activity. He gives a similar warning of caution to Bridget Jones, and apologizes for his duties of Prefect and obligations as a boyfriend to Lily keep him from her.

He concludes with the following torn thoughts:

I am confused. I find myself torn between the need to protect my girlfriend and the need to protect my best friend. What confuses me the most is that the emotion behind this need seems the same. I know both girls require my loyalty, but it feels more urgent than that. I think I love them both the same, as friends and as something more. Even though my attraction to either is for different reasons...Merlin this makes me a horrible person, doesn't it? Not only do I feel like I am lying to Lily, but Bridget as well. Bridget has been concerning me lately, she seems to be literally obsessed with having a boyfriend. Sure that might be normal for girls this age but...seeing Pettigrew kiss her that time and have her not react negatively, well it was bothersome! I am going to have to think about this some more, hopefully I don't make my confusion obvious.

October 3, 1976
Tradegy hits Hogwarts.

First there is a Black Out around the school and then the Dark Mark appears in the sky. Prefects are dispersed to guide students back to their Common Rooms. Among them,
Lily Evans, Frank Longbottom, and Marlene McKinnon are attacked. Evans and Longbottom are found unconscious while McKinnion is no where to be seen, suspected of being kidnapped.

When word comes that Evans, in particular, is missing, Caradoc nearly looses his mind. He also bites his nails down too far.

The same night, Regulus Black murders all of Rabastan Lestrange’s dorm-mates by use of the Killing Curse for revenge of their mistreatment of Lestrange.

October 4, 1976
Caradoc attempts to comfort Lily Evans the day after the attacks outside the Great Hall. After observing her throughout the meal, he followed her to the hall and sat with her. She reveals how terrified she is and he holds her protectivly to comfort. He finds he can’t stop touching her red hair. Both reflect on the missing Marlene McKinnon.

Both end up going for a walk and recount the events of the attack on Evans, Longbottom, and McKinnon. Caradoc reaffirms his suspicions on the blame falling to several missing Slytherin male students in Rabasan Lestrange’s year. When he tells Lily this, the first thing she asks if Severus Snape is among those missing.

October 11, 1976
Refusing to succumb to the stresses around school, Caradoc instead attempts to comfort Lily Evans. He is constantly worried about her, as well as Bridget’s determination to ‘strike back’ against the almost unknown enemy. he believes Bridget is making herself out to be a bigger target rather then untouchable, and knows she might push the wrong people too far.

He takes it upon himself to keep in touch with the Ministry of Magic, and intern Gideon Prewett ont he events at hand.

October 29, 1976
Day before Halloween candy grams are to go on sale, Caradoc hopes they will help support an anti-hostile environmen and celebrate friendship among Houses. He’s still curious over how some boys disappeared, but doesn’t outwardly seem to worry.

He thinks Bridget shouldn’t ‘hang’ out with the Slytherins.

October 31, 1976
Prefect Caradoc helps hand out Candy Grams to their owners while dressed like a pirate.

To his and the school’s horror, muggle-born/ half -blood students fall victim to some sort of candy gram posioning, and he takes post at the infirmary. Among the victims are Lily Evans, Bridget Jones, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, Frank Longbottom, and Ted Tonks. The night’s events grow worse by the appearance of the Dark Mark over Hogwarts in the night’s sky.

Caradoc shows great confidence in the situation being resolved by the school’s professor,s contrary to Sirius Black’s belief that its up to the students to find closure. Unfortuntly, Sirius and James turn to hunting down Regulus Black for end results.

May 25, 1976
Caradoc receives an opportunity to volunteer with the Healers Without Borders group. He decides to persue his ‘mission’ to help the brave Auror’s who are on the war front over seas.

May 27, 1976
Caradoc breaks the news to Lily. Tells her he’s leaving June 2.

June 1, 1976
Caradoc and Lily both drink alcohol for the first time, and attempt to have sex.

Needless to say, both were too drunk to remember what happened.

However, Lily knows that Caradoc couldn’t complete the task at hand, and passed out before even really getting started on the bed next to her.

June 2, 1976
Caradoc leaves before Lily wakes up, leaving a note with a promise to return someday soon.

Summer of 1976
Bridget Jones receives word Caradoc disappears on the War Front with Fabian Prewett’s group.

The team returns home late July, but Caradoc is not among them.

He is declared M.I.A.

Mid December, 1977
Caradoc makes an unexpected return to the known world, and Hogwarts.
